My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. What a wonderful man with a great personality. He will be missed by many. Years down the road some young person will stop and think to themselves "what would Mr. Dees have done or how would he have handle this situation'? He has made a impression on the lives of many people and we are privilege to have known him.

Eddie and I went to school together and graduated from Hope Mills High School in 1972. At that time, Hope Mills was still pretty much a small town and everybody, including parents, knew everybody, so even though I didn't see Eddie but a handful of times after we graduated, still counted him as a lifelong friend. To his wife, and girls, I am so very sorry for your loss, but know that he is "resting well" now with his new life as an angel in heaven. He is free of pain and suffering and his spirit will always be with you. My sincere condoloences.

Our prayers are with Susan and entire family. Eddie will be missed by so many in this community. God has taken him to a better place now but you will always have the memories to share forever, something no one can ever take away from you. He is probably up there now telling the angels what position they will be playing and hitting ground balls to them. May God bring you comfort in days a head.

My sympathy goes out to Eddie's family. I know that you had many wonderful memories with him. We taught together at South View. We always said that we "really raised some kids!" We had many stories of children who I begged Eddie to help me out with so that they could graduate. Some days he would almost cringe when I mentioned a certain name, but due to "Mr. Dees" this young man did graduate, become gainfully employed and married. Thank you Eddie, for your dedication to education and young people. The Bible reminds us at Proverbs 22:29 " Do you behold a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings.." When your family sees you again, you will be well and the ravages of illness will be long forgotten. RIP Eddie.

I was so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. I've known Eddie since 1970. He has been such an influence in my life. I worked with his father at Bryan Pontiac-Cadillac and found out where Eddie got his charisma from. When I became Postmaster in Hope Mills, I was honored to have Eddie do my installation ceremony. Eddie's presence will be forever felt in Hope Mills for many years to come. My prayers for Susan and her girls.

Heaven's team received a very special team member today. In his own way, Eddie brought a whole town--and many others from far away states--together, even in so much adversity. Wow! What a legacy! What a man! Hope Mills Historian Extraordinaire!

My prayers for comfort and peace for Susan and the family.
