I just want to thank Rick and James of LaFayette Funeral Home for everything they did in helping us during the most trying times of our lives. We lost our son unexpectedly and we had never had to plan a funeral before. The team at LaFayette was truly amazing in helping us right down to the last details. We never could have done this without them. The caring and professionalism was absolutely amazing!

I just want to say Thank you to the Lafayette FH. Without the guidance and the generous help Mr. James and the Lafayette FH it self. I couldn't asked for a better funeral home. Mr.James and Mr.Rick was very helpful in my time of need to lay my mother to rest. I've been to funerals but never had to plan one on my own. Mr. James was there every step of the way. Mr. James put in a way that was easy and simple and worked with me even when I couldn't think straight or even when I forgot to do stuff. He knew the pain I was in and how difficult this was for me to let my mom go. Even with the viewing of my mom Mr. James never gave me a time limit or never rushed me to spend my last moments with my mom. Mr. James Sir I applaud you and your staff. If anyone ever need to do this one day I recommend to go to Lafayette FH. I am still hurting with the lost of my mother and I don't know when I will but Mr. James still checks on me and he said and I quote "we are apart of the Lafayette Family now" so Sir my hats off to you. This is tough to write but I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge Lafayette Funeral Home for the way they took care of my son Frankie.
We were able to spend as much time with him and as devastated as we all were, Jame's patience and understanding was above and beyond what I expected.
Every detail was handled in the most professional way possible giving me comfort I so badly needed.

Our father's service was held here at Lafayette Funeral Home and Rick and his staff did a wonderful job putting together his final service. Very professional, accommodating, and compassionate. The staff at LaFayette Funeral home is amazing! They treated my family and I as if we were their own family. I cannot stress enough how much they impressed us with their professionalism and personal service. We are especially grateful to James who went above and beyond in helping to resolve a family issue. After having a horrible experience with a local funeral home on Raeford Rd we knew we were not going back so I called LFH and spoke to Rick. After speaking with him on the phone I knew we were going to have services there. My mother and I went to make arrangements and Rick was very professional in every way. My mother was so distraught that she was indecisive on some of the things he asked of her. Ever patiently Rick gave her time and didn't rush her in any way.

Rick went above and beyond our expectations acquiring a flag for our dads casket and a military retirement group to preside at the cemetery. It was a surprise and a blessing because we weren't sure it would happen. I contacted Rick through email about 4-5 times and every time our request was fulfilled without question or hesitation,

James as well was very professional in every manner. He was at the FH the entire time of the wake checking if we needed anything and waited on us patiently. There were a few changes that we made to the pamphlets and he was on top of it every time again with hesitation or questions.

Rick and James did a tremendous job and we are forever grateful that they made such a sad situation a pleasant and less stressful event.

Losing a loved one unexpectedly is so difficult. From the moment that we had to make decisions after the death of my father, John Lincoln, all of the worry and confusion was taken away from the moment that we met with the staff of LaFayette Funeral Home. The respect and care was above and beyond the expectations we had. All of the concerns we had were quickly laid to rest. Thank you for making dad look so good and peaceful. Thank you for the beautiful blanket and write up. Thank you for the wonderful DVD that was made and for the Naval emblem in the casket. The quality of everything was exquisite. Thank you for having the service members on motorcycles come and represent. It was a beautiful service that honored a man that we all loved. We cannot express enough how grateful we are for James Blount and the Lafayette Funeral Home staff.

I can't thank you enough for all the work you did to prepare my grandaughter for buried. She was my first born grandchild and im still feeling the shock of her loss. It was important for my daughter to say goodbye and having the casket open was important. Thank all of you for your help during this time of great sorrow.

Rick, I want to commend you and your staff for the incredible work you did. Obviously your folks are the right people for your profession. You were sympathetic and understanding when you sat down with us to make the arrangements both at house and your facility. When you received the call to pick up Joe, Monday night, you were compassionate and patient with us at a very trying time. Family and Friends all had positive comments and were content with the way the funeral and cemetery services were conducted. I thought we were prepared but we learned a lot with this period of transition that Joe under went. On behalf of the family thank you so much for being there for us.

I was so devastated by the very sudden death of my wonderful husband. I had never had to think about a funeral home before so I chose Lafayette because it was close to our home. I thank GOD for the entire staff! They were so feeling of my grief. They took extra good care of me. My husband was cremated but they kept him for two days so I could spend time with him. His service with full military honors was beautiful and pastor Staples gave such a moving sermon. I also spoke and I think they thought I would never stop. I have never heard such a beautiful singing voice when Rick sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace." I have already pre-planned my own funeral with them. I love all of them and all that they do for the families in their most difficult times.

LaFayette Funeral Home went beyond the call of duty at the unexpected departure of our loved one. Availability to our needs was without request, their personal touch was God's Hands extended to our family, followup to details was bearable because of their guidance and most of all a true call of excellence was displayed in every aspect of the extremely hard journey. They are to be commended for being not just a business but a Choice Servant to the community. May God bless them is our prayer.

I am so grateful for the staff specially Sean the way he went above and beyond to make our Sad and emotional moment easy. They did a wonderful job when my Dear Husband passed away. I could say they took care of everything without skipping a beat and made sure everyone was taken care of. My Husband was Veteran and they bring him with all the Honors.

From the moment we had to call you about my dad to the moment we picked up his ashes it felt like family! Sean Clark treated us as though we were members of his family and cared about our Dad as we did. Everything we needed and wanted he worked diligently to provide. "Standing For Those Who Stood For Us"

I have never heard of this place until this week when I attended a funeral service of a neighbor. The service was at the home so I have never been to one like that either. It was so beautiful. Rev. Staples brought forth a sermon like I have never heard. He was so compassionate with his emotions. I though I even seen him wipe a tear away during the closing song. I was just blown away. I though he was the family minister and then learned that he was on staff at the funeral home. That course he sung is one of my favorites from a little boy I used to hear my Grandma sing that song. After the service I got to speak with Rev. Staples and Rick. I explained how much they had helped this family. I told my wife once I got home, if anything ever happened to me before her to call LaFayette Funeral Home. Thank you for being a part of our community and caring for the people the way that you do.

Although one of the smaller funeral homes it was just the right size and location for us. The personal service received by my family was warm and welcoming. I do not know if they cared about my loved one or not but all that mattered was that they made us feel like they did. They made all the necessary arrangements and walked us thru every step.

I'm from WVA, but, recently attended the funeral of a dear friend there in Fayetteville. Because, the services were held at the church, I did not get to see the funeral palor, but, the staff of this funeral home were absolutely the best I have ever seen anywhere. Rick and Robert were just totally awesome. One moment stood out in my eyes and I will never forget it. What stood out to me were their actions during the service. These gentlement walked in sync, never missing a step.... liked they had practice numerous times just for this service. Nothing was ever rush or speeded along. The closing of the casket is the moment that I will never forget. It was done like I've never seen before. The two walked down the asile, met in middle, faced each other briefly, then turned around facing the casket. They then paused for moment, Rick lifted the flower from the top of casket and then stepped straight back, Robert folded all the material into the inside of the casket, taking the time to make sure it was nice and neat; with such compassion he then slowly lowered the lid down to the casket. It was very quiet and soft, so professional, respectful and graceful. Then Rick placed the flower back on the casket and again they paused and faced each other before proceeding out. I will never forget that moment. I have no family in Fayetteville, NC but I can assure you if I did, and I needed those services, LaFayette Funeral Home would be my first on only choice. Keep up the good work guys!
