Tressie Lee (Meme) Blount

Tressie Lee Blount, 68, of Hope Mills, NC died Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Tressie was born to the late James Lebron Lee and Mary Lou Rollins Lee on June 9, 1953 in Fayetteville, NC. She attended and graduated from Hope Mills School class of 1971. There she met the love of her life, James Floyd Blount Jr., and the two were married on February 20, 1973. God blessed the union of 49 years with happiness and love.

Tressie worked in child care as the Administrative Assistant at Highland Learning Center, until she retired to spend time with her family. She loved her family unconditionally and was a wonderful wife, mother and meme. Tressie loved the Lord with all of her heart and recently spent time crocheting prayer blankets for those who were sick around her.

Along with her parents Mrs. Blount was preceded in death by her husband, James Floyd Blount Jr.; a brother, Lebron Edward Lee; her grandchild, Logan Wienand; and her very special aunt and uncle, Joyce and Willie Lee.

Tressie is survived by her sons, James Blount (Joy), of Hope Mills, NC and Ronnie Blount (Jocelyn), of Hope Mills, NC; her daughter, LeeAnna Wienand (Alan), of Hope Mills, NC; her sister, Annabel Pender, of Fayetteville, NC; her brother, David Lee (Brenda), of Raeford, NC; six grandchildren, Marianna Blount, Ashlee Blount, Calvin Blount, Rachel Blount, Alana Wienand, and Avery Wienand; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends.

A Visitation Service will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Crystal Springs Chapel located at 1400 Crystal Springs Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306. Funeral Service will be conducted Thursday, November 11, 2021 11:00 AM at Crystal Springs Chapel with Pastor Bruce Suggs officiating. Interment will follow at Parkton Cemetery.
