Tae Ok King

Mrs. Tae Ok King, 73, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in her home, located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Tae was born in Inchon, Korea on January 23, 1948 to the late Du Hyon Min and Tae Chin Chong. She graduated college with a Bachelor’s Degree and was working on her Master of Divinity degree. She loved music and made her dreams a reality by working as a Minister of Music in the various churches she attended throughout her life.

Mrs. King was married to the love of her life, Mr. Rennie King, of the home. The two were married on October 30, 1974 in Seoul, Korea, and they made a home in Fayetteville, NC. She also leaves to cherish her memory a son, Shalako R. King, of Fayetteville, NC, as well as many brothers and sisters in Korea. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother. 

To celebrate the life of Tae Ok King, a visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at LaFayette Funeral Home located at 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304 from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with the Rev. Jong Su Hong, of New Life Korean Church officiating the service.
