Suzanne (Russell) Thornton

Suzanne Russell Thornton passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 in her home at the age of 68.

Suzanne was born in Nassau County, NY on December 17, 1954 to Thomas Russell and Rose Wykert Russell.

Suzanne graduated from Lindenhurst High School of NY in 1973 and went on to become a Certified Verbatim Reporter where she later retired. She married her husband, Stephen J. Thornton, in July of 1977. She always said what she loved most about Steve was how he made her laugh and he did that for almost 43 years until his passing in May of 2020.

Being a mother was one of her biggest dreams in life and what she was most proud of. She is survived by her 3 children; sons, Chad Thornton and his wife Karen, and Cole Thornton; a daughter, Carly Clark and her husband, Jeremy. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Mia, Molly, Avery, Jacob, Colton, and Landon. As well as her brother, Thomas Russell, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held with the family at a later date.
