Sandra Denise (Sosa) Serik

Sandra Denise Serik, 61, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, January 27, 2022 at her home. Sandra was born to the late Betty Hallman Sosa and Steven V. Sosa on April 5, 1960. She was an amazing cook, had a phenomenal singing voice, and loved to answer the questions on Jeopardy.

Sandra had an eye for vehicles and knew the makes and models of most every vehicle that passed by; she took pride in her garden and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. And she adored her sweet dog, Dixie. She will always be remembered as a fighter.

Along with her mother, Sandra is preceded in death by her sister Linda Campbell.

She is survived by her daughter Shannon Von Hagel, of Maryland; her father, Steven Sosa, of Fayetteville, NC; her brothers, Michael Sosa, of California, and Steven Sosa Jr., of Fayetteville, NC; her sister Gail Purgason, of Texas; her grandson, Tyler Von Hagel, of Maryland; a lifetime companion, Roland Kelly, of Fayetteville, NC; and a host of extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2022 at LaFayette Funeral Home 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304. Minister James Blount will officiate the service. The family will receive friends for one hour following the service.
