SMSGT Danny Eugene Malone (Retired)

SMSGT Danny Eugene Malone, (Retired), of Fayetteville passed away on September 9, 2020 at home at the age of 77. He was working at MJ Soffe up until his illness.

Danny was born June 10, 1943, in Elkview, WV, to the late Everett R. and Gussie Huffman Malone. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Teddie Malone.

Danny is survived by his wife, Lulla B. Malone of Fayetteville, NC; one daughter, Tammy Malone of New Bern, NC; one brother, Ray Malone of VA; one sister, Faye Linger of Clendenin, WV and one granddaughter, Danielle Malone of Winston Salem, NC.

Danny was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and would give you his shirt off his back for his family. SMSGT Malone was a Veteran of the US Air Force and making Senior Master Sergeant was one of his greatest milestones. His service included 7 years of Foreign Service to include the Vietnam War and retired after 23 years of service. He loved sightseeing and traveled the world. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on for years to come.

Danny would like everyone to know his wishes were to pass at home and was at peace in his man cave.  

The family will have a private visitation Monday, September 14, 2020 between the hours of 10:00 and 10:45 AM at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC  28304.

A Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 AM in LaFayette Memorial Park West, 6702 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC  28304.
