Ronald Swann Obituary

SFC (ret) Ronald O. Swann a.k.a Ronny O, passed away March 2, 2020. He was born April 15, 1942 in Tullahoma, Tennessee to Curtis and Jewel Swann, both deceased. He was married to his beautiful wife Irene Swann for 52 years. He is survived by her and their 3 children; Sandy (Sandini-pinni) with Bryce Nusbaum, Suzie (Susanna-panna) with Teddy Lanier, Mike (Hun) Swann, Karin Swann and Sandra Bischoff. He had 3 grandchildren; Sara (Sayra)Neal, Annie Swann and Gunner (Gunnerman) Lanier. He had 3 siblings; Linda Artman with James Artman, Mike Swann with Cindy Swann (deceased) and Dannie Swann with Pat Swann. His nieces and nephews; Kellie, Christy, Ryan, Mandy, Chris, Jay and Scott. Ronny O. was in the Army for 20 years and spent the majority of his career in Germany. He was a tanker which explains his terrible hearing. If only we had had a tape recorder for all the nonsensical words he thought we said.

We know he’s up there with all of his dogs; Schatzi, Boscoe, Jade, Missy, Freddy, Lady, Raven, Shiloh, Daisy Mae and Sally. He is survived by Miss Princess Molly.

Ronny was a lover of animals, politics,(we avoided that conversation at ALL costs) coins, guns, music (especially from the series The Voice and AGT), cooking, (Dad had the best cornbread stuffing, noodle salad, ribs, homemade barbecue sauce, German potato salad and German potato balls.) and all of the newest and best technology.

One of his favorite things to say was “You bet your sweet bippy.” No idea where he came up with that. If we were to ask him now how it is “up there” he would say his absolute favorite, “It’s fair to middlin.”

He will be terribly missed, never forgotten and was extremely loved by all.
