Miriam Romeo

Miriam Romeo, 66, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Miriam was born in Colombia, SA on October 27, 1955, daughter to the late Carlo Romeo and Margarita Hernandez Romeo. After High School, she went on to college, obtaining her Bachelor degree graduating as Valedictorian of her class. She worked in Jewelry Sales at JC Penny before retirement. Miriam loved her family and they greatly loved her. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Gutierrez and fiancé, John Helton, Jr. of Fayetteville, Angelina Alexa Akers of Hope Mills; a brother, Jairo Romeo of Houston, TX; a sister, Margarita Ruppe and husband Gerald of Savannah, GA; 4 grandchildren, Jezelle Gutierrez, Natalya Gutierrez, Gavin Akers, Justyne Coley and a host of extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM following the visitation.
