Leonder Scott was born on June 11, 1923 in Bishopville, South Carolina and passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Carolina Rehab in Fayetteville, at the age of 94.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delia Davis, father, Ed Davis, husband of 47 years, William W. Scott, a daughter, Willie Mae Scott, and 2 grandchildren Sarah Scott, and Rhonda Rumley.
Galatians 5:22-23 reads, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Friends and Family that knew Leonder, knew she lived her beautiful life with all 9 fruits of the Spirit. She was a very special woman to so many people and she is going to be missed by all.
Leonder is survived by two daughters, Eula Carliles and Deborah Ann Scott, four sons, James “Bo” Scott, Jimmy Scott (Donna), Edward Scott (Wanda), Arnold Scott (Jeannie), 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister Earlene Moulden.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Southview Presbyterian Church. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Kenneth Williams and Rev. Herman Autry officiating. Interment will be held at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
