Leida Rosa Maldonado

Mrs. Leida Rosa Maldonado, 82, went Home to be with Jesus Monday, January 18, 2021 in her home, in New York, surrounded by family.

Leida was born in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico on September 13, 1938 to the late Justo Maldonado and Felicita Echevarria. She worked as an Office clerk with the New York Department of Health before retirement. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Angel A. Rivera, son, Angel A. Rivera Jr. (Pepin), Minerva Rivera (Bibi), and husband, Josefino Cordero.

She is survived by her daughters, Migdalia Rivera, Myriam Figueroa and husband Juan, Bianca Rivera Cordero; 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandaughter, and siblings, Tony, Gloria, Johnny, Maritza, Lilian and Helen.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Friday, January 29, 2021 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM following the visitation with Dr. Steve Swan officiating.

Entombment will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens, 4509 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
