Julie Camacho-Smith

Julie Shepherd Camacho-Smith, 48, died tragically at her home in Hope Mills, NC.

Julie was born the daughter of Enrique Castro Camacho and Kaye Crowell on November 3, 1973 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She enjoyed working with plants and flower gardens. She also enjoyed attending church with her mother, at Crystal Springs Chapel. Most of all she loved spending time with her kids, nieces and nephews. Julie was preceded in death by her son, Desmond Brewington; and a brother, David Shepherd.

She is survived by her two sons, Jerome Moore and his wife Destane, and CJ Brewington, all of Fayetteville, NC; a brother, Vincent Mendiola, of Las Vegas, NV; four sisters, her twin sister Jacquie Camacho Gibson and her husband Ronnie; Regina Carter, all of Fayetteville, NC, Rhonda Johnson, of Oak Island, NC, and Christine Camacho, of Reno, NV; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members and friends.

The Family will receive friends 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Monday, May 30, 2022 at Crystal Springs Chapel located at 4600 Crystal Springs Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Pastor Bruce Suggs and Pastor Butch Suggs officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Rockfish Memorial Park located at 4017 Gillespie St. Fayetteville, NC 28306.
