Obituary

John Robert Campbell, 73, died Monday, May 1, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

John was born in Laurinburg, NC on March 4, 1950 son to the late James Eady and Mary Clark. He made a living as a truck driver, tirelessly moving freight to keep America thriving. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, James Clark; a sister, Mary Louise Clark; and two step daughters, Loretta Malloy and Barbara McNeill.

He is survived by his son, Robert Faulkner, of Fayetteville, NC; his daughters, Michelle Faulkner and Lisa McPhaul, both of Fayetteville, NC; his step daughter, Sofornia Faulkner, of Fayetteville, NC and Phyllis Harris, of Fayetteville, NC; his brothers, Weldon Clark and wife Pamela, of GA, Joseph Clark, of PA, and James Eady, of CA; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, May 12, 2023 at Crystal Springs Chapel located 1400 Crystal Springs Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304. Pastor Lakeisha Yelverton will officiate the service.
