Hilda Luz (Feliciano) Acevedo

Hilda Luz Acevedo, 85, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Fayetteville, NC passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 in her home.

Hilda was born in Puerto Rico on May 16, 1937, daughter to the late Claudio Feliciano and Maria Rosaura Rodriguez. Hilda was a homemaker and loved to cook. She loved her family and cared deeply for each one of them. She moved to Fayetteville in 1978 and then to San Antonio in 2010. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Acevedo, a daughter, Jenny Caquias, 2 grandsons, Andy Caquias and Sonny Brown, and 12 siblings.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Odom of Raeford, Raquel Acevedo Castro of Fayetteville and Sandi Acevedo Chauncey of San Antonio; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of extended family members.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2022 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM following the visitation with Minister James Blount officiating.

Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens, 4509 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
