Glenda Marie (Carraway) Gurno

Mrs. Glenda Carraway Gurno, 71, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Glenda was born in Wayne County, NC on August 26, 1950, daughter to the late Marvin Carraway and Julia Strickland Carraway. She worked as a Transcriber in Health Care before retirement. Glenda loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 grandson.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, James Ray Gurno Sr; sons, James Ray Gurno Jr. and wife Lisa of Salado, TX, Thomas Gurno and wife Angela of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Linda Merritt and husband Tony, Jamie Tyree and husband Dallas, all of Fayetteville; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many extended family members.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon Thursday, September 16, 2021 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 Noon with Reverend John Blackman officiating.

Burial will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park West, 6701 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
