Gable Charles Gifford

MSG Gable Gifford, 46, passed away on February 2, 2021.  He was born on October 19th, 1974, in Newport Beach, California. Most recently he lived in Sanford, NC and was the S8 NCOIC for the 4th Psych. Operations Group (Airborne). He deployed 5 times to Columbia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

While serving as a member of 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 9th BN, 4th Psychological Operations Group, MSG Gifford was instrumental in the success of multiple deployments, instructing new PSYOP Soldiers, and modernizing the PSYOP force. He is honored for his 20 years, 11 months of service to the United States Army.

Gabe, ‟The Giff”, lived large and shared his love and infectious personality with family and friends from coast to coast. He will be forever remembered and missed by all who knew him.

MSG Gifford is survived by his wife of 7 years, Candace Gifford; Sons, Bryce Gifford and Brandon Folsom; Daughter, Courtney Folsom; Grandson, Bennett Brown; Father, Charles Gifford; Brothers, Barry and Brett; and Sisters, Polly and Keely. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Gifford.

A Funeral Celebration will be held 12:00 noon – 3:00 PM Friday, April 16, 2021 at Studio 215, 215 Williams Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301 with Chaplain (MAJ) Lucas Rees officiating.

MSG Gifford will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
