Faye Nell (Smith) Simmons

Faye Nell Simmons, 77, of Hope Mills, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 11, 2024. 

Faye was born in Fort Payne, AL. on May 19, 1946, to Annie Lee Smalley and Oliver Andrew Smith. She made a living as caregiver. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  

She is survived by her children David Smith of Enterprise Al, Micheal Smith of Hope Mills, NC, and Douglas Folsom (Donna)of Fayetteville, NC; brothers Ray Smith, and Albert Smith; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and many other extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Simmons; daughter, Connie Lynn; brothers, Joeseph Smith, Jimmy Smith, Donald Smith; sisters Kaye Smith, Bonnie Tolbert, Dottie Calway, Denise White, and Lee Hoggard.

The Family will receive friends 1 PM - 2 PM Thursday, April 18, 2024 Friendship Baptist Church 3232 Davis St, Hope Mills, NC 28348

Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Thursday, April 18, 2024 Friendship Baptist Church 3232 Davis St, Hope Mills, NC 28348

Interment will be at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery 8220 Bragg Blvd. Fort Liberty, NC 28390 on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
