Diane Fitzsimmons Obituary
Mrs. Diane Marcheal Thomas Fitsimmons, 55, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Diane was born in Weatherford, TX on February 21, 1966, daughter to the late Joseph Franklin and Nelda Rea Smith Thomas.
Diane was a great mother and grandmother and best friend to her children. She loved her husband William, but also loved fussing with him. She enjoyed going on walks with William, loved gardening, was very outgoing and the life of the any party. Diane will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Franklin Thomas and her sister, Helen Juanita Smith.
She is survived by her husband, William G. Fitzsimmons of the home; sons, Frank Fitzsimmons and William J. Fitzsimmons and wife Stephanie, all of New York; daughters, Kaila Rhiannon Ward and Tina Marie Fitzsimmons and husband, Francisco Ramos, all of Fayetteville; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; and her kitty cats, Mrs. Kitty and Gracie.
A celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 25, 2021 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
