Currie Kenneth Dowless

Mr. Currie K. Dowless, 70, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 in his home.

Currie was born in Robeson County, NC on February 25, 1951, son to the late Leroy and Lillian Savage Dowless. Currie retired from Goodyear after 41 years and was the owner of Dowless Christmas Tree Farm. He was an amazing golfer, loved the beach, traveling and especially loved the Caribbean. He had a great love for his country, friends and was quoted as saying he did life his own way and was very proud of it. Currie was an amazing man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sonia Piedad Dowless of the home; a son, Dustin Dowless of Raleigh, NC; a daughter, Candice Inman and husband Chris of Grays Creek, NC; Siblings, Edwin Dowless, David Butler, John Butler, Debra Butler, Gail Butler and Cynthia Butler; a grandchild, Kaylee Kimbrell and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304

A Celebration of Life service will begin at 3:00 PM following the visitation with Minister James Blount officiating.
