Cathey Sue (Ramsey) Rogers

Cathey Sue Rogers, 76, of Fayetteville, NC died Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Cathey was born in Bixby, OK November 12, 1946 daughter to Finis T. Ramsey and Betty Jo Olden. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Central State University now known at University of Central Oklahoma. Cathey was a traveling ICU/Recovery nurse, who loved tennis, University of Oklahoma Softball, reading, and traveling. She also loved spending time with her family. Along with her parents she is proceeded in death by her brother, Samuel J. Ramsey.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher L. Rogers and wife Athena, of Raeford, NC and Nathaniel F. Rogers, of Oklahoma City, OK; her sister, Sandra Little, of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren, Sean P. Rogers, Hunter M. McKean Rogers, Courtney R. Holmes and husband Nathaniel, Savannah A. Rogers, Dakota P. Rogers, and Mackenzie M. Rogers; one great grandchild, Journey L. Rogers; and a host of extended family members and friends.

The family is planning a private memorial service to be held in Yukon, Oklahoma on a later date.
