CW3 Jessica Moore Obituary

CW3 Jessica Moore was born 01 October 1987 in Seattle, Washington to Dwayne Moore and Mi Hwa Paek. She graduated from Satellite High School in Satellite Beach, Florida in 2005 and attended the University of Florida. In January of 2007, Jessica attended Basic Training followed by Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Rucker, Alabama, where she became an Army Air Traffic Controller. Jessica was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment at Fort Hood, Texas from August 2007 to December 2009 where she also deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; she was then assigned to 1st Battalion, 11th Aviation Regiment at Fort Rucker, Alabama from January 2010 to May 2014 where she earned her Control Tower Operator License; she reenlisted to be stationed at Camp Humphrey, South Korea from May 2014 to May 2015 where she earned her highest enlisted rank of Staff Sergeant. CW3 Moore then attended the Warrant Officer Candidate School and Air Traffic and Airspace Management Technician Course and graduated in November 2015; she was then stationed at Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade until February 2020. Since March 2020, CW3 Moore has been assigned to Fox Company, 3-82 GSAB, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She served in Fox Company as the Platoon Leader for both the Terminal and AIS Platoon and was later selected to serve as the Company Executive Officer.

Jessica earned numerous awards and decorations including: the Meritorious Service Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, five Army Achievement Medals, 10 Certificate of Achievements, the Army Good Conduct Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Joint Meritorious Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Medal (Numeral 2), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Senior Aviation Badge, Drivers Badge and the German Armed Forces Badge.

Jessica adored her family. Her loving spirit drew people to her like a magnet and she treated everyone as extended family. However, her daughters Amerie and Remi were the lights of her life. She was an amazing mother juggling a career to provide for them but always managing to be present for her girls. A woman of faith, Jessica provided her girls with a foundation to know God. No one will ever forget her smile or her laugh and how much she liked to tease those she loved. She was strong, fearless, loyal, a bit of a dare devil, and a foodie. She was the best of us. Her family and friends will miss the joy she brought to their lives.

She is survived by her daughters, Amerie and Remi; her father Dwayne and his wife Andrea; her brother, Dwayne II; her sister, Jasmine; Aunts and Uncles, Karen and Mac Blaise, Felix and Felicia Galvez, Bernadine Galvez, Glenda (GG) and Richard, Kelly Galvez; her chosen brothers and sisters, Mary and Josh Standing, Bri Hadden, Crystal and Joe Olmo; Cousins, Nikki and Giana Galvez; and her entire Ft. Bragg & worldwide US Army military nation family of soldiers. She completed 17 years of Active-Duty service and touched many hearts! She was predeceased by her grandparents, Delia and Calvin Moore and Uncle Ferdinando Galvez I. and Aunt Pee wee, and adored and loved by her Uncle Jr.
