Brian Olin Smith Sr.

Brian Olin Smith, Sr., 69, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 in his home.

Brian was born in Norfolk, VA on October 3, 1951, son to the late Jasper Smith and Kathleen Doris Whitaker.

He is survived by his wife, Princess Sesay; sons, Eric Austin, Brian Smith Jr. and Darian James; his ex-wife, Helen Anne Smith; siblings, Cheryl Smith, Kenneth Smith, Jasper Smith, Darrel Smith and a host of extended family members.

Brian ‟BOSS” Smith Sr. enjoyed life and always had a great sense of humor. He loved to fish and play spades with his family and friends. He proudly served in the US Army as a Combat Engineer, a Printer, a Recruiter, and a Drill Instructor. After the military, he worked for Federal Express until his retirement. After retirement, he would spend his days watching his favorite church programs and playing with his step-son, Darian.

Visitation for the family will be 12:00 noon -1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at LaFayette Funeral Home.

Funeral Services with Military Honors will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
