Amy Gladys Strickland

On Sunday, March 21st, 2021, Amy Gladys Strickland, loving daughter, sister, spiritual warrior and friend to many, was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 39.  

Amy was born on July 24th, 1981 in Fayetteville, NC to Danny and Ok Strickland.  She graduated from Douglas Byrd High School in 2000. Amy desired to travel the world and see all of the beauty that God bestowed on earth.  Her love for Jesus, her family, friends, animals, music, the Tar Heels, the Dallas Cowboys and WWE were just a few of the things that would bring out her smile that lit up the darkest of rooms.  While Amy’s life here on earth with us felt so short, we look forward to Heaven, where it will be an eternity. 

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Earnest Alton and Gladys Lee Strickland and Chung Man Cha and Gan Nan Chong.

Amy is survived by her parents, Danny and Ok Strickland; sister, Nina Hillner and husband Ben along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Funeral Services for immediate family and those invited will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2021 at LaFayette Funeral Home 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304 with Pastor Sharon Walker officiating.
