William Kenneth Stevenson

SFC William Kenneth Stevenson, (Retired), 86, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 in the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville.

William was born in Logan, WV on December 25, 1933 to the late Alfred Stevenson and Marie Jackson Copley. He retired from the US Army, was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of Grays Creek Church of God. After retiring from the Army, he also retired from Black and Decker and Labcorp. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Charla, his parents and a son, Robert.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Meadows Stevenson of the home; daughters, Diana Deese, Joyce Marshon and her husband Phillip, Jane Surko and her husband Paul; 4 grandchildren, Misty Timothy and her husband Frank, Jason Deese, Elizebeth Mott, and Logan Porter; 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many extended family members.

Visitation will be 2:30 – 3:00 PM Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Grays Creek Church of God, 4018 Chickenfoot Rd. St. Pauls, NC 28384.

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM following the visitation with Pastor Gene Phillips officiating.

Burial will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 169 Forest Lawn Cemetery Dr. Pecks Mill, WV 25547.
