Timothy Halca

SPC Timothy Halca, of North Carolina, passed away at the age of 20. He was born on December 17, 2005, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Cornel and Tatiana Halca.

Timothy spent part of his childhood growing up in Moldova and the United Kingdom. Those experiences helped shape who he was and gave him an appreciation for different people and cultures.

He enlisted in the United States Army on September 26, 2023. He completed Basic Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia. On the way to his first duty station, he attended Airborne School, where he earned his Parachutist Badge.

Timothy served as an S6 Signal Maintenance Specialist with the 82nd Light Support Battalion. During his time there, he supported both his unit and the 3rd Mobile Brigade. His awards include the Army Achievement Medal (second award), Certificate of Achievement, and the Parachutist Badge.

Outside of his service, Timothy was a black belt in karate and a pool champion. He was known for being kind, forgiving, and easy to be around. He had a quiet way of making people feel comfortable and valued.

He was especially proud to be an uncle to his three nephews. They spent time wrestling, laughing, and playing together, and he loved them deeply. They loved him just as much and looked up to him in every way.

He will be remembered by those who knew him for his steady nature, his kindness, and the way he cared for the people around him.

He is survived by his parents, Cornel Halca and Tatiana Halca; his brothers, Denis Halca and Maxim Cudreas; his nephews, Khai Cudreas, Lev Cudreas, and Roman Cudreas; and his grandmother, Vera Ivanova, along with extended family and friends.
