Susan Delores (Baker) Thomas

Mrs. Susan Baker Thomas, 55, went home to her heavenly father, Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Firsthealth Hospice House.

Susan was born in Cumberland County on September 8, 1962 to the late Ray and Violet Turlington Baker. She was a Registered Nurse and loved her church and was multi-talented, both as a pianist and gifted singer.  Susan loved to minister in Gospel Music. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Douglas F. Thomas of the home; a daughter, Mikayla Susanne Thomas of the home; brothers, Richard Baker and his wife Melanie of Hope Mills, Charles Baker and his wife Jane of Hope Mills; sisters, Amy Baker of the home, Mary Jacobs and her husband Tony of Shannon; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Rockfish Church of God, 7869 Rockfish Rd. Raeford, NC 28376.

Funeral Services will follow the visitation beginning at 4:00 PM with Pastor’s Gary Leviner and Tim Gore officiating.

Burial will be private in Cumberland Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Thomas family.
