Sharon Ramona Sims

Sharon Ramona Sims, 82, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Born on January 6, 1944, in Belford, New Jersey, Sharon was a caring and compassionate woman whose life was devoted to serving others. She was a member of Reilly Road Presbyterian Church and dedicated much of her time to helping those in need through food bank ministry, feeding the homeless, assisting disabled individuals, and showing love and kindness to children.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother; her beloved husband, John B. Sims; and her two daughters, Barbara Sims and Brenda Serena.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving son, David Sims; and two granddaughters, Brianna Serena and Laila Serena, along with many relatives and friends who will deeply miss her warm spirit and generous heart.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Lafayette Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park West.

Sharon’s legacy of compassion, faith, and service to others will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
