Sfc James Milton Thiele (Retired)

SFC James Milton Thiele (Retired) passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC at the age of 79.

James was born in Marquette, MI on August 16, 1941, son to the late Milton H. and Elaine L Cooper Thiele. He joined the US Army in 1956 and served two tours in Vietnam. He retired in 1979 after 23 years of service. SFC Thiele was a very proud member of The American Legion and The Forty and Eight Veterans organizations. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Patricia and Barbara.

He is survived by his wife, Erika Thiele of Fayetteville, NC; a son, Jason Thiele and partner Lauren Rafanan of Fort Wayne, IN; a daughter, Sabine Bryant and husband Steve of Rabun Gap, GA; a brother, Richard Thiele and wife Nancy of Waupaca, WI; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Curtis, Sydney Curtis, Steven Bryant and Heather Bryant.
