Robert Franklin Raper, 55 of Shannon, NC passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Robert was born in Cumberland County on September 15, 1970, son to the late Bob Barrett and Elizabeth Sias Barrett. He worked in Construction and loved to fish. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Hailey Thompson and her husband Dillon of Autryville, NC; a sister, Christina Raper of Tennessee; 4 grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Crystal Springs Chapel, 1400 Crystal Springs Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306 with pastor Bruce Suggs officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
