Robert Wayne Brandenburg

SFC Robert Wayne Brandenburg (Ret), 78, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 in Village Green Nursing Home.

Robert was born in Shelby County, Ohio on September 8, 1946, son to the late Elbert and Gertrude Hunley Brandenburg. He enlisted in the US Army serving several tours to Vietnam and continued his career in the Army until retirement. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Brandenburg and Ralph Brandenburg, a sister, Cherly Binggeli.

Robert is survived by his wife, Carol Brandenburg of the home; his children, Robert Wayne Brandenburg Jr. (Julie) of Mooresville, NC, Kimberly Brandenburg of Raleigh, NC Michelle LeBlanc (Kevin) of Bunce, TX, Michael Brandenburg (Ember) of Maxwell, New Mexico and Melissa Castellanos (JC) of Murray, KY; 2 brothers, Gary Brandenburg and Randy Brandenburg, both of Ohio; 2 sisters, Joyce Taulbee and Pamela Davidson, both of Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many extended relatives and friends.
