Mrs. Myrtle Grey McLaurin Lambert, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and cherished friend, entered into eternal rest on August 22, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born on February 27, 1944, in Cumberland County, North Carolina, she was the treasured daughter of the late James Adam McLaurin and Rossie Lee Strickland. She was united in marriage to Mr. Steven Gary Lambert, and together they made their home and raised their family with steadfast devotion.
Mrs. Lambert was known for her strength of spirit, her enduring heart, and the gentle courage with which she met life’s seasons. She created a home that was a haven — a place of welcome, warmth, and care for all who entered. Family was her greatest joy, and her love for her children and grandchildren was the guiding light of her days.
She will be remembered for her quiet dignity, her unwavering devotion to those she loved, and the lasting legacy of compassion and steadfastness she leaves behind.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Jane Lambert; granddaughter, Melissa Sue Turner; great-grandsons, Skylar, Liam, and Lyric; great-granddaughter, Luna; and her beloved sister, Shirley Paulette Naylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Gary Lambert; son, Steven Gary Lambert Jr.; sisters, Emily Pearl Grimsley and Violet Faye Keefer; brothers, Larry Adam McLaurin and Henry David McLaurin
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 4170 Tabor Church Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28312 with burial to follow in Cross Creek Cemetery.
Though our hearts are heavy, we give thanks for her life and for the tender memory of her love, which will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
