Michael B. Williams

Michael B. Williams passed away peacefully at home Wednesday morning, May 27, 2026. Mike was the Dunn Public Library Director who retired in January 2024. He also worked in the Cumberland County Library system. After retirement, he taught citizenship classes through the Triangle South Literacy Works at the Cumberland Street Center in Dunn. Mike recently obtained a HAM radio operators license.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Nancy, and a daughter Sarah.

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 30 2026 from 2:30-4:30 PM at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
