Margarete Maria Owens

Margarete Maria Owens, 95, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away on March 12, 2026, in Germany.

Margarete was born in Wuerzburg, Germany, on May 6, 1930, to the late Oskar Eyerich and Rosa Staudinger Eyerich. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Durwin Owens, and her daughters, Kama Davis and Cheryl French.

She is survived by her son, Byron Owens, and daughter-in-law, Brenda Owens; her six grandchildren, Christopher Hurlock, Andrea Pakhomkin, Corey Owens, Nolan Davis, Roland French Jr., and Ryan French; and her great-grandchildren, Alexander Pakhomkin, Julian Pakhomkin, and Wells Hurlock.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Margarete will be laid to rest at Fort Bragg Main Post Cemetery alongside her husband.
