Marcella Sams

Marcella Kirk Sams, 81, was born in Olcott, WV on May 11, 1935. She entered Heaven's gates March 23, 2017. Marcella had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Jesus First Church in Fayetteville, NC.
Marcella was predeceased in death by her husband, Douglas Sams, father; Benjamin Kirk, mother; Alpha Kirk; seven brothers, Quincy Kirk, Lester Kirk, Austin Kirk, Mason Kirk, Kenny Kirk, Fenton Kirk and Delano Kirk; three sisters, Mabel Holstein, Virginia Moore and Betty Estep.
Marcella is survived by two daughters; Romona Williams and Teresa Wilson; two sons; James "David" Shamblin Jr (Christy) and Mark Shamblin (Janet), her three brothers, Clarence Kirk (Shirley), Junior Kirk (Pat) and Karel Kirk (Judy); She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 10 am at Jesus First Church 7467 Camden Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306 with the funeral service to celebrate her life following at 11 am.
