Louis Patrick Costello

Louis Patrick Costello, 81, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away on May 26, 2026 at Woodland Nursing Home. He was born on February 16, 1945 to the late Patrick Frances Costello and Anna May Gass in Brooklyn, New York.

Louis honorably served in the United States Army before transitioning to working for the United States Postal Service. In life, Louis greatly enjoyed to garden and loved sports such as baseball and football.

During his service SP5 Louis earned the following awards and decorations: National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal (1st Award), and Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14).

He is survived by his godson, Kevin Alexander of Fayetteville, NC; God nephew, Brandon Walker of New York; God-niece Tiffany Walker of Winston-Salem, NC; Goddaughters Dorn Alexander of Fayetteville, NC and Tracey Walker of New York; along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 8th 2026 at LaFayette Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM.
