With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Linda Fay Davis, 75, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, who entered into eternal rest on April 7, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of deep faith, unwavering love, and a family bond that will continue to carry her spirit forward for generations.
Born on December 6, 1950, in Sanford, Florida, Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas Nathaniel Stafford and Bertie Katherine Stafford. She lived her life with quiet strength, kindness, and a compassion that made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
Linda shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Billy Gene Davis. Together, they built a strong and loving family that was the center of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Robert Allen Davis and his wife Brenda of The Villages, FL; Jason Paul Davis of Chesapeake, VA; Brian Timothy Davis and his wife Stacey of Harrisburg, NC; and Katherine Louise Deal and her husband David of Van Buren, AR.
She also leaves behind her brother, Frank Stafford of Knoxville, TN, and her sister, Joann Hobby of Weirsdale,FL.
Linda’s greatest joy was her family. She was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her heart always ready to give love.
She faithfully served for many years with the Cumberland County School System and was a devoted member of Arran Lake Baptist Church, where she found joy in teaching Sunday School and encouraging others in their faith.
Linda embraced life fully and found happiness in the simple things—tending to her garden, caring for her beloved dogs, and spending time with those she loved most. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing her love will continue to guide them.
