June Nancy Kennedy

June Nancy Kennedy, 70, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by her family.

June was born in New York City, NY on April 11, 1956, daughter to John Turczyn and Emily Rennison Turczyn. June loved to play Bingo and any game of chance, had a big heart and was a loyal friend who would help anyone in need. She was a loving mother to her sons and Nana to her grandchildren. A true fighter till the end with her three sons by her side and their dad, Michael Reidy. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, John Turczyn.

June is survived by her sons, Michael Reidy, Derek Reidy, and Kenneth Reidy and wife Yajaira; a brother, John Turczyn, wife Barbara, and nephew and niece, Gary and Jaclyn; sisters, Diane Mucciaccio and nephews, Christopher and Danny; Carolyn Bezmen, husband John, and nieces, Emily, Kristen, and Dana; 3 grandchildren, Kylie Reidy, Eric Rivera, and Yomar Machin; God-daughter, who was more like a daughter, Chrissy Hollander and her daughter, Alex Hollander; and many grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 - 6:00 PM, Friday, June 5, 2026 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304. Funeral services will begin at 6:00 PM following the visitation with Father Arul Yagappan officiating.
