MSG Jimmy Dale Holifield, (Retired), 80, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, February 14, 2020.

Jimmy was born in Charleston, MO on April 26, 1939 to the late Amos and Mary Blanche Alvey Holifield. He was a Master Sergeant with the US Army serving over 22 years. He went on to work with the Civil Service before retirement. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Yvonne Holifield, a grandson, Daniel Nelson and siblings, Betty Jean Holifield, David Wayne Holifield, Donald Raymond Holifield and Mary Louise Holifield.

He is survived by a son, Gregory Dale Holifield of Fayetteville; a daughter, Lisa Nelson-Atchison and her husband James of Raeford; brothers, Leonard Holifield of Cambria, CA and Amos Andrew Holifield of Texas; a sister, Sharon Holifield Payne of Bertrand, MO; one grandchild, Cheri Thomas (Christopher); three great-grandchildren, Haley Nelson, Aubrey Thomas and Olivia Thomas.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, 4509 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
