Jerry Leon McDaniel

Feb 25, 1945 — Feb 27, 2026

Fayetteville

Jerry Leon McDaniel peacefully entered his eternal rest on February 27, 2026, after a long battle with multiple health challenges. He was a lifelong builder, carpenter, and gifted “fix-it” man. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.

Jerry was a devoted member of his community in Salters, South Carolina, and a longtime member of Union Presbyterian Church. Due to declining health and his battle with dementia, he relocated to Fayetteville in 2025 to live with his son and family. In his final days, he was surrounded by love and compassionate care. He will be deeply missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louin and Ethel McDaniel; his brothers, Leroy, Joseph, Mitchel, and Andrew; his sister, Rebeccah; and his daughter, April.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Joyce; his son, Andy (Melissa); his youngest brother, Johnny; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be planned and announced at a future date.
