In Loving Memory of Hildegard Anna Brady

Hildegard "Hilda" Anna Brady, age 96, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Valley Hospice House.

Hilda was born in 1930 in Frauenwaldau, Germany (now known as Trzebnitz, Poland) to the late Reinhardt and Augustus Schadly. Known affectionately as "Hilda" to her friends, she possessed a lifelong passion for helping those in need and was a compassionate champion for abandoned animals, rescuing many over the years. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly tending to her yard and cultivating beautiful flowers.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David R. Brady; her brothers, Heinz and Fritz Schadly of Pegnitz, Germany; and her sisters, Annalies Elsinger and Erica Schmid, also of Pegnitz, Germany.

Hilda’s memory will be cherished by her surviving family; sister Irmgard E. Gauger of Naperville, IL; son & daughter-in-law Jason and Karen Brady of Bolivia, NC; grandson & wife Matthew S. and Brittany Brady of Raeford, NC; great-grandchildren Isaiah and Norah Brady of Raeford, NC

Funeral services will be held on a later date.
