Mr. Franklin Delano Belk, 85, of Fayetteville passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 in his home.

Franklin was born in Cumberland County on September 20, 1934 to the late Seabron and Mary Hooks Belk. He was in the National Guard and worked as a painter until his retirement. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Rose Tyndall Belk, several brothers and sisters, 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He is survived by a son, Arkelius Belk and wife Elizabeth of Fayetteville; 3 daughters, Doris Elaine Belk Minshew, Renarta Kidd and husband Daniel, Laveta Wyckoff and husband Harold, all of Fayetteville; a sister, Monnie Tew of Baltimore, MD; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate his life will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 11, 2019 at New Life Baptist Church, 6501 Camden Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306 with Pastor Dr. Lewis E. Wilson Officiating.
