With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Eusebio V. Torres, a U.S. Army Veteran, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, who departed this life peacefully on January 27, 2026, surrounded by family and the love of his life.
Eusebio was born on August 14, 1945, in Pueblo Anacua, Mexico to the late Rafaela V. Zapata and Leonardo Torres. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Carlos Zapata, Jr. and Noe Zapata.
He was a devoted husband to Maria S. Torres, a loving father to his children, Angelita Torres-Thompson (Alonzo), Armando L. Torres (Angela), Melissa A. Torres (Jeff), Eusebio David Torres and Kayanna Torres DeJean (Benjamin), a wonderful grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and a caring sibling to 2 brothers, Amado Torres and Jose Zapata and 2 sisters, Margarita Felan and Guadalupe Zapata Alaniz.
Eusebio proudly served in the United States Army for 32 years including 2 deployments to Vietnam with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Soldiers, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. Upon retiring with the rank of CSM, he received numerous awards to include the Legion of Merit. He served his country proudly and made a powerful impact among his soldiers, friends, and family. He was a proud paratrooper and will forever be Airborne, ALL THE WAY. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
