Elizabeth ‟Girllie/Kapeka” Beverly (67), passed peacefully and surrounded by her family on June 7, 2026 at First Health Moore Regional Hoke County.

She was born in Kahuku, Hawaii and raised all over the island of Oahu with her final resting place in Raeford, NC. She enjoyed her grandchildren, dancing hula, playing ukulele and karaoke. She is predeceased by her father, Matthew Puna Ka’ahu, her mother, Elizabeth ‟Betty” Ka’ahu, a sister, Maryer ‟Mori” Fauntleroy, a brother, Matthew ‟Jackie Boy” Ka’ahu Jr., and her daughter, Lamonick ‟Niqi” Smith.

She leaves behind her husband, Cornelius ‟Old Man” Beverly; daughters, Laymomi Ka’ahu and Latasha Ka’ahu; son, Lajoma Ka’ahu; grand-daughter, Shani Ka’ahu, and grandsons, Desean Ka’ahu and Martin Kaninau III. She also leaves behind in love 6 nieces and 2 nephews, hānai sons, daughters, friends and was an Aunty to many.

A visitation will be held 6:00 -8:00 PM, Friday, June 26, 2026 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2026 at LaFayette Funeral Home with Bishop Robert Locklear officiating.

Burial will be private.

The family is requesting that everyone wear a White shirt and Black or Gray pants to the services in honor of ‟Girllie”.
