Ean Alexander Gaskins, 25, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, was born on June 16, 2000, in Fayetteville, NC, where he lived his entire life.
Ean attended Freedom Christian Academy and graduated from Gray’s Creek High School in 2018. He continued his education at Fayetteville Technical Community College.
For three years, Ean worked at B&D Industrial in Wilson, NC, serving as a CSR, Inside Sales representative, and Warehouse Manager. He was excited about the opportunity to advance into an Outside Account Manager position in the future.
Ean loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, had a passion for Mopars, and loved fireworks. Sports were especially important to him, particularly baseball. He was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves, Virginia Tech football, and Duke basketball, and he loved watching college basketball and football.
He is survived by his parents, Heather Nelson Gaskins and Chip Porter; his stepbrother, Michael Porter; his grandparents, Mike and Mary Nelson, and Donald and Jean Gaskins; his aunts and uncles, Kyle and Elizabeth Nelson, Cameron and Jill Nelson, Mark and Dawn Fields, Linell and Tom Clark, and Linda and Eddie Norris; and his cousins, Caleb and Margaret Nelson, Devin and Emma Sims, Jacob Nelson, Skyler Nelson, Macy Becton, Daniel and Brandi Orange, Amber Fields Bradley, William Clark, Tom Clark, Braidan Orange, Cayleigh Orange, Abram Bradley, Meadow Sims, Luella Sims, Jonathan Norris, and Daniel Norris.
He is also survived by his best friend, William Marlow, and many other cherished friends.
Ean was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sheryl R. Nelson; his grandfather, Red Porter; his aunt, Cathy Eubank; his cousins, Meaghan Clark and Joshua Wilson; and his best friend, Kenny Fulcher Jr. (“Little Kenny”).
Serving as pallbearers will be William Marlow, Jacob Nelson, Daniel Orange, Matthew Johnson (MJ), Blake Stafford, and Josiah Joly. Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Nelson, Skyler Nelson, Michael Porter, Devin Sims, and Brandon Blount.
Ean will be remembered for his love of family, his loyalty to friends, his strong work ethic, and his passion for the things he loved most.
