Mr. Dewey Thomas Jones, 61, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2016 in Duke University Medical Center.
Dewey was born in Harnett County on October 30, 1955 to the late Eddie Clarence Jones Jr. and Mary Julia Barefoot Jones. He was a dedicated Sheet Metal Technician and played the guitar in several bands around the Cumberland county area. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Barry Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Jones of Fayetteville; a son, Chris T. Jones of Fayetteville; daughters, Heather M. Jones and Ashley N. Jones, both of Fayetteville; brothers, Eddie Clarence Jones III of New Jersey and Barry D. Jones of Fayetteville; a sister, June Tew of Fayetteville and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, May 6, 2017 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 3:00 PM following the visitation with Reverend Robert Staples officiating.
