David Michael Harris

David Michael Harris, 44, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away on July 30, 2026. He was born June 12, 1982 to Rex G. Harris Jr and Charlotte Spradling in Dallas, Texas.

He was an animal lover, with a particular love for dogs. He had five dogs who he loved deeply.

David honorably served in the US Army from 2005 to 2008. He received the following awards and decorations: National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.

David is survived by father Rex G. Harris Jr and his wife Connie M. Harris; mother Charlotte Harris; daughter June Harris; sisters Laurie Bailey and Rebekah Harris; brother Jonathan Harris; grandfather Rex G. Harris; aunt Angel Formby and her husband John Formby; cousins Zack and Natalie; and a host of extended family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Ed N. Spradling and his two beloved grandmothers, Dolores Spradling and Charlotte Bates, who both prayed for him daily.

The family will received friends Monday, August 17, 2026 from 11:30 - noon at LaFayette Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM.

Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery.
