Carolyn June Soliday, 89, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on January 12, 2024, at Wickshire Creeks Crossing Nursing Home in Raeford, NC.
Carolyn was born on December 27, 1934, to the late Thomas N. Barnett and Florence Spurgeon. She worked as a financial assistant before her retirement. She was a 71-year member of the Eastern Star and held the position of Worthy Matron in Scottsburg, IN. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scottsburg, IN and Silver Springs, FL. She served as the church organist for 5 years. She always put God and her family first. Both sons served in the military, one in the U.S, Army, 82nd ABN DIV and one in the U.S. Air Force, Space Command. Next, she loved country music (Marty Robbins & Randy Travis), the Kentucky Derby, and those FL Gators. GO GATORS!!
She is survived by her sons, Thomas E. Soliday (Diane) of Fayetteville, NC, and Cavin J. Soliday (Naoma) of Keystone Heights, FL; daughter, Veronica Soliday Myers (Vincent) of Eastover, NC, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, along with extended family members and friends. Carolyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward L. Soliday.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Monday, January 15, 2024 at Crystal Springs Chapel, 1465 Crystal Springs Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bruce Suggs officiating.
Burial will follow at a later date in Indiana.
