Carolyn Jones of Raeford, went to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in her home.

She is survived by her three children: Daughter and Caregiver Carol Jones known to her as “Bloss” and her cornerstone Joety Young of Raeford, one son, Jerry “Papa” Jones and wife Amanda of Raeford, NC. Daughter, Twilla Bullard (Carl) of Raeford, NC. Six grandchildren, Donald Womack Jr, “Skeeter” (April), Ty Jones, Abigail Jones (Carlos), Ronald Womack Jr, Alexis Jones, Ashley Bullard (her amazing Hospice Nurse), five great grandchildren, Dakota, Easton, Harper, Juniper, and Abriella.
She leaves behind four nieces, Carol Hunt, Geraldine Rasberry, Regina Hardin, Sabrina Sosa and two nephews Kenny and Ricky Hardin; a special cousin Linda Ivey that called her Aunt Carolyn. Although their marriage ended, her former husband, Jerry Jones of Raeford, remained a lifelong friend. She also leaves behind additional nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Carolyn moved to Cleveland, Ohio in the late sixties and attended beauty school where she became a cosmetologist; she later moved back to North Carolina and called Raeford home. After more than 30 years of service with the State of North Carolina, Carolyn retired from the Hoke County Child Nutrition Service. Those who knew Carolyn knew how much she loved attending her grandson Donald Jr.’s baseball games and yelling “Go Skeeter”! She loved cooking, especially baking, as well as a listening to music, reading the newspaper, yard selling, drinking black coffee, and always wanting to have a “Birthday Celebration” to get everyone together to line dance.
She has left amazing memories; we will love her forever and she will always remain in our hearts.
Funeral Services will be private at a later date.
