Calvin Douglas Porter, 25, of Hope Mills NC, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 as a result of a traffic accident.

Calvin was born July 27, 1994, in Fayetteville, NC, to Jerry and Lynda Porter.

Calvin worked for almost 3 years at Black Tire Company on Bragg Blvd., as a mechanic. He made some amazing memories and gained more than just friends with the generous crew that works there.

Calvin enjoyed spending time with family and friends, four-wheeling, shooting guns, and cooking out.

Calvin was engaged to Asia Randall. They met in High School and spent 7 and half wonderful years together and raised 2 children: Marleigh, 7 years old and Calvin Jr., 18 months old.

Calvin is survived by his fiancée, Asia Randall; daughter, Marleigh; son, Calvin Jr; parents, Jerry and Lynda Porter; sister and brother-in-law, Christy and Ralthel Darden; mother and father-in-law, Christie and Joseph LaMadrid ; brother-in-law, Maxwell Taylor; best friends, David and Heather Smith and Christina Sladeski, and many more niece and nephews both by blood and by love that adored their uncle to pieces.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 2 pm at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville NC 28304 with a reception to follow at 5024 Jefferson Walk Rd. Hope Mills NC 28348.
