Celebrating the Life and Journey of Malachi Ahmad Robinson.
Malachi Ahmad Robinson, the son of Lavon Robinson and Toni Robinson, was born on April 24, 2002, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He entered this world as a robust 9-pound blessing with a presence that was felt by all who knew him. His physical presence concluded far too soon at the age of 24 years old on August 8, 2026, in Italy. Though he is no longer physically here, his story, smile and impact lives on.
Life taught Malachi resilience early on. Growing up as a military kid, he adapted to new homes, friends and schools in North Carolina and Colorado, eventually graduating high school in Texas amidst the uncertainty of the 2020 pandemic. During middle and high school, he brought that same adaptable toughness to the football field and basketball court, where he poured his energy, passion, and fierce competitive nature into every game. The camaraderie of his teammates and the thrill of competition shaped him into a relentless young man—someone who met every obstacle head-on and never let anyone or anything get the best of him.
Guided by a commitment to his future and at his parents’ insistence and encouragement, he attended Texas Southern University (TSU) in Houston, TX. In 2024, he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management degree. During his time at TSU, he found a special place in his heart for Houston, falling in love with the energy and spirit of the city.
Houston became a turning point for him in more ways than one: it was where he recommitted his life to Christ, was baptized, and actively served in his church. After spending a year working at a sports bar, accumulating numerous parking tickets for his car, and dedicating a significant portion of his time and paychecks to PlayStation, he decided it was time to chart his own course. In 2025, he forged a new path by joining the United States Air Force as a Weapons Loader, which took him across the world to his first duty station at Aviano Air Base, Italy.
Malachi lived life with an authentic and joyful spirit. He loved sports, driving fast on the open road, cooking up meals, listening to music and singing off key, and above all, spending time with family and friends. He touched everyone he met with his genuine nature, his kindness, his humor, and a smile that could light up any room. He will be remembered always and missed beyond measure as a loving Son, a supportive big Brother, and a devoted Friend.
Malachi was preceded in death by his maternal granny, Felita Moultrie; his maternal grandfather, Anthony Moultrie and maternal great-grandmothers.
He leaves behind a devoted family to cherish his memory: his Father, Lavon; his Mother, Toni; his sister, Trinity; his grandparents, Gregory and Sheryl Patterson; his aunt, Shayla Moultrie; his uncles, Ray Robinson, Rahiim Saulsbury, Donte Patterson; paternal great-grandmothers; grand aunts and uncles; his cousins, extended relatives, and a wide circle of friends who became family—all of whom will deeply miss his presence.
Malachi’s memory will continue to live on through all who met him. The impact he made will last forever.
